If you have your heart set on a Saturday in June, September, or October (the three most requested months for Iowa weddings), you'll want to be on the earlier end of that window, sometimes 18 to 24 months out for the most popular Saturdays. If you're flexible on a Friday, Sunday, or an off-peak month like January through April, you can often secure a venue in as little as 6 to 9 months.
Why Iowa's Wedding Calendar Fills Up Fast
Two things collide in Iowa: a short outdoor season and a small number of standout venues. Most couples want warm weather, green fields, and good light for photos, which compresses demand into roughly May through October.
